World's leading giant social media network Twitter has axed to increase the character count for private messages. The micro blogging network has already announced that they will be removing the 140 character post count. Even though they are going to remove the previous limit for PM, the limit is still there for tweets.

Private messages commonly known as PM or direct messages have been of great use for twitter users to convey regards and chat with others. Unlike Facebook Pm which allows you to send unlimited messages through inbox. Well, Twitter is looking forward to give their users more fun by doing this.
It was announced by Twitter developer blog in June month, that the post count for direct messages of 140 characters will be increased to another limit. Precisely, the limit will still; be there but will be of great convince to users.

So, the direct messages will be uplifted to 10,000 character count somewhere in July. Making their private messages get third update in the same year. Recently, they released updates which allow anyone to Conant to message others without following and group messages.

Later several years after they brought the direct messages feature which has become one of the core features of the firm. Before that two users have to follow each other to Pm but not now. They have also brought Group messages feature which allows group of people to message and chat at once. They can also send private messages to anyone else.

What made Twitter Increase Private Message Character Count?

Twitter made Private Messaging feature, long back for their users to chat one on one. But due to heavy increase in competition with giants like Facebook and WhatApp, they are looking to bring better updates. In my view this feature has got the post limit increased to make fans and users happy about and something new to get engaged with. Users are only allowed to share posts of 140 characters and PM was limited to 140 as well. Messaging has become an important thing in daily life but Twitter is not like WhatsApp or Facebook. So, they cannot dwell the same way as others do. In this manner, Twitter has planned to bring more value to messaging and beat other social networking giants growing rapidly.
Whereas Facebook and WhatsApp has not limit to the characters in the public or private posts. Twitter i still lagging behind Facebook which has 1.3 billion active users when compared to Twitter's 300 million.
